How posts are written

Readers of finance writing increasingly want to know whether a machine wrote it, and the honest answer is worth more than a vague one. Every post here begins with a thesis I write by hand, before any model is involved — a claim specific enough that it could turn out to be wrong. A large language model is then used to expand that argument into a full draft against primary sources I have selected. It does not choose the subject, it does not originate the claim, and it does not decide what the post concludes. I write the opening and the closing of every post myself, edit the rest, and check every figure and citation against the source document before anything is published. Errors that survive all of that are mine.

Sources and corrections

TODO. Every post links its primary sources; where a chart appears, the underlying data is downloadable as CSV. Errors are corrected in place with a visible updated date rather than quietly.
